McBookie is owned by McBookie Ltd and operated by Playquarry Ltd, using Altenar's sportsbook. Thanks to the sportsbook, sister sites include 247Bet, Dream Vegas, Lottoland, Lucky Mate, Videoslots, FanTeam and many others.

Since its launch in 2009, McBookie has gone through a couple of platforms and licences, which subsequently have changed the sister sites. Previously, McBookie was part of the Playbook Gaming umbrella, which meant it had sisters such as AK Bets, StarSports, BresBet and more. Now, however, the site uses the Altenar sportsbook instead.
McBookie is operated by Playquarry Ltd under a white-label solution, but there are no other active sites on the same licence. The only sisters are thus through the aforementioned Altenar, with the likes of Lottoland, Dream Vegas, Lucky Mate, 247Bet and others using the same sportsbook. You could argue the site made a good decision, as such.
Since there are several sites with the Altenar sportsbook, we wanted to pick a few of them out, with some working better for current McBookie customers than others.
McBookie has a longer history than LuckyMate, with the latter being launched in 2025, but the truth is that they are still both in the same ballpark. As such, LuckyMate feels like a suitable pick for the best sister site.
You will immediately spot that the layout/design is much more pleasing, with LuckyMate and its owner making better use of the Altenar software. Prominent games are listed at the top, followed by boosted odds, and you can also find promotions easily. Other than that, however, the sites are similar in terms of what they offer at the core of it.
The story is the same for the casino sections, i.e. that LuckyMate feels like a better experience, and the promotions definitely take it over the edge for us.

247Bet is another relatively new site, backed by the well-known Casimba, and it's the first sportsbook-focused site of the company (no pressure!). Thankfully, you are immediately drawn in by a nice design and navigation, building on an already nice casino section.
The site has opted for a wider design than some of its Altenar sisters, including McBookie, and we have to say that it looks great. The focus on the promotions, of which there are many, suggests that the bookie has no intention of suddenly pulling them either.
That said, as was the case with LuckyMate, a lot is the same as McBookie when you boil it down to the essentials. Personal preference will play a huge part in deciding which bookie to join, as such.

We suspect that Lottoland is a site that a lot of people know already, seeing as it's been doing everything from Lotto to sports and casino in recent years. The attention is warranted, in our opinion, as the site really does do a good job across the board.
The sportsbook perhaps isn't the site's strongest suit, with the casino and lotto excelling a bit more, but that's not to say that the section is bad. Indeed, you will find some nice promotions to make use of and the sportsbook design is great too.
One of the main perks is that you can download a good app, which includes all of the products in one, saving you the trouble of having to download separate apps.
