Fafabet has paused its operations in the UK as a platform migration is on the cards, finally making the switch from FSB Technology to EveryMatrix.
Prior to October 1st, Fafabet was one of the last-standing FSB-powered bookies in the UK along with BetGoodwin. However, it has been known for quite some time that a switch would eventually be on the cards, just not if Fafabet would opt for EveryMatrix (FSB's new owner) or another platform solution.
Now, the answer has arrived, even if in a little strange fashion. On the Fafabet website, punters are met with a landing page that suggests operations will cease in full by October 31st. It's what you would usually see when a site shuts down, not when it switches platforms, so we had to investigate the matter a little further.
Despite the landing page, we have it on good authority that Fafabet will indeed remain in the UK, and operations will not cease. The bookie has simply decided to pause operations while the migration to EveryMatrix - yes, that will be the new platform - is ongoing. No timeline has been given, though, so it could be anything from weeks to months.
EveryMatrix currently powers the likes of BetTom, Bet600 and Ken Howells, while work is underway to create the best product possible for BetGodwin. As such, when Fafabet eventually makes its comeback, we can expect a solid product. You would have to imagine that it will be on the same UKGC licence, but it's all a bit unclear at the moment.
