Unibet and Kindred Group have switched from Kambi to an in-house sportsbook platform, revealing its new look and features on September 1st, following years of planning.
Kambi used to be a subsidiary of the Kindred Group, thus making the partnership with Unibet very logical, but a termination of the partnership has been on the cards for quite some time. While it will officially run until 2026, which was agreed at the time of the renewal in 2022, Unibet has now switched to the new sportsbook platform KSP in several markets.
It has been suggested that Kambi will still play some role in Unibet's new sportsbook, but the details have been rather vague on this. In any case, by comparing the Kambi version to the new in-house sportsbook, you can see some differences. Most of them are minor, though, as Unibet's version of Kambi was a very customised one.

One of the main differences is that Unibet now has different odds than its previous Kambi sister sites, such as BetMGM and Virgin Bet. This is arguably one of the main perks of the sportsbook switch, mainly for Unibet but sometimes also for the punters. There's really no point in having a bunch of bookies with the same odds, after all.
It should be noted that the casino section has remained virtually the same, as you would expect, so the change has really only affected the sportsbook. It will be very interesting to see what Unibet's next steps will be, and how Kindred Group intends to put it among the top of the sports betting options.
