The Pools decided to update its platform in December last year, having reached an agreement with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) in the summer. Now, with the fresh looks in place, the bookie has also re-activated its welcome offers.

After enjoying some success with the old platform, The Pools opened talks with GiG over the use of its platforms for sports and casino, named 'SportX' and 'CoreX'. An agreement was reached between the parties and this was announced in the summer of 2024, although no release date was mentioned at the time.

A few months later, in December to be exact, The Pools rolled out its new platform and subsequently put their welcome bonuses on hold for a while. The changes made are pretty significant, as seen especially with the design, and the overall quality of both products is a whole lot better given GiG's strengths.

In addition to the changes to the sportsbook and casino, it should also be noted that The Pools now charges a monthly subscription fee for customers to use the pool-betting section. The cost varies from package to package, and while it might sound like a negative thing, pool tickets and other benefits are included in that cost (so it's not just an entry fee).

As mentioned at the start, the welcome bonuses have been re-activated by The Pools and they are bound to attract some new customers. A bet £10 get £20 deal is in place for sports punters, while casino players can claim 100 free spins for staking £10. There are no wagering requirements attached to any of these offers.

I'm the founder and editor-in-chief of FindSisterSites. After exploring how betting and casino sites are structured for another project, I felt that there was a gap in the market, more specifically for correct, reliable and up-to-date information on the companies behind each site.

As such, I'm responsible for identifying the 'hidden' sister sites and debunking a lot of the incorrect information that spreads around the web. My background in journalism certainly means that I have the perseverance to find the right answers, which helps in this case.
