Casimba Gaming, the owner of Casimba and others, has branched out to sports betting with the launch of 247Bet. While the UKGC licence remains with White Hat Gaming, it's Altenar that provides the sportsbook technology for the new site.
In the last few years, the sports betting market hasn't exactly become easier for UK bookies. The competition is fierce and some would argue that there are too many options out there. As such, Casimba Gaming's decision to branch out to sports betting is a bold one, entering the market with the launch of 247Bet.
247Bet was launched earlier this month (August) and with an Altenar-powered sportsbook, this could be the start of something good. For those of you who don't know, Altenar also works with sites such as Lottoland, All British Casino, Pub Casino and so on. In other words, casino brands that have moved into sports betting.
Considering the above, Altenar feels like a match made in heaven for 247Bet and it remains to be seen how it will be received by the punters. There are some good promotions available on the site, at the time of writing anyway, but the £20 minimum deposit could be a hurdle for some. It's maybe not a deal-breaker, but not ideal either.
The design of the site, meanwhile, looks very nice and we need to give some praise to White Hat Gaming in that sense too. Indeed, 247Bet is under the white-label provider's licence and the casino platform appears to be powered by the company too. All in all, the site could see some success with UK punters, no doubt.
