Betzone has partnered with Metric Gaming to power its sportsbook and casino, following the decision to leave Playbook Gaming behind.
It has been four years since Betzone launched in the UK, teaming up with Playbook Gaming to have a solid product from the get-go. After enjoying some success, the bookie began exploring the opportunity of securing a licence of its own; a pursuit which was further fueled by a UKGC audit of Playbook Gaming in the spring of 2024.
At the start of this year, the plans came to fruition as Betzone announced its new partnership with Metric Gaming to power the sportsbook and casino on the site. Furthermore, the bookie has moved to a UKGC licence of its own, now regulated under account number 65056 with the company name Richmond Atlantic Ltd.
As for the features and design of the sportsbook and casino, the differences are clear compared to Playbook Gaming. Betzone now looks like a unique betting site, rather than a templated one, and the first signs are very promising indeed. There are still some things that the site could work on, such as how the markets are displayed, but we have to commend Betzone.
It takes gut to leave the security of a white-label arrangement - even if limitations come with that as well - and Betzone has shown that it is serious about the future. Most white-label sites would have remained under the convenient solution and eventually have shut down.
